THRASHER, Hervey

Obituary Read: Hervey A. Thrasher, former manager of the Piggott office of the Arkansas-Missouri Power Company, fell from a window on the ninth story of the Hurley Hospital in Flint, Michigan, last Monday night about 9:30 and was instantly killed. Mr Thraher, who had been ill for several days became delirious late Mondat afternoon and was taken to the hospital.
After accompanying her husband to the hospital, it was necessary for Mrs. Thrasher to return home for some clothing. A special nurse had been given charge of the case, and while absent from the room, Mr. Thrasher got up out of the bed and fell out the window. Hospital attendants heard a noise outside when Mr. Thrasher fell to the ground, his body first hitting the roof of a small porch next to the ground floor. Mr. Thrasher was dead when his wife returned to the hospital.
He had been in Flint only about three months. He was employed at the Gerneral Motors plant before he took sick. His wife had been in Flint for only two weeks.
Mr. Thrasher, a native of Clay County, having been born near Piggott September 23, 1887. His body was brought back to Piggott for burial, interment being at the I.O. O. F. Cemetery Friday. Husband of Evia Edwards Thrasher.

Hervey married Evia EDWARDS, daughter of William Thomas EDWARDS and Leona Lee FUGUA, on 27 Feb 1909 in Clay County, Arkansas. (Evia EDWARDS was born on 4 Dec 1891 in Clay County, Arkansas, died on 19 Sep 1984 in Clay County, Arkansas and was buried on 21 Sep 1984 in Piggott Cemetery.)
